I am contemplating the purchase of an Insta-trike kit for my 2005 GL1800 Gold Wing.Since I have never ridden a bike with such a kit, I am nervous about references to "hard steering". Is the steering really so difficult that a "rake kit" is necessary ? I want to be able to go 2 wheels at times.

Re: Steering
We usually tell people to try a kit without a rake kit and see how it works. It does stiffen the front end up, but most of the time people can deal with it.
That said, anytime anyone has put a rake kit on their bike they LOVE it.
