Left tire wear Empty Left tire wear

    Post by kml354 Sun Mar 08, 2009 1:51 pm

I've aligned and adjusted according to tow-pac instructions and still I am wearing out my left tire after 600 miles. Gone through 4 tires in 2,200 miles plus or minus. No problems at all with right tire.
I don't know what to do next except to take off bike and sell. Goldwing GL1800 bike. Evil or Very Mad

If I were having this problem, my next step would be to check the kit to make sure it is square on the bike.
Loosen the bolts straighten and re tighten. Check tire pressure. And see if that helps.
    Keep us posted!

    Good Luck

I realize that I have a different kit (mine is a mini), but my left wheel alignment took considerable work to align. I had to elongate the mount holes to allow twisting the axle plate to the frame plate. Everything else aligned perfectly. Now, all three rear wheels are running the same.

Left tire wear Empty Right tire wear

I am having a tire wear problem on the right side tire. Every thing seems to line up but the middle and inside tire tread is wearing out prematurely. Any one else had this problem. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
