I purchased the 12' Insta-Trike kit last fall, and have ridden it with some success. One issue I have with the kit
is the way the bolts seem to easily comed loose after only
a few rides. Especailly the frame adjustment brackets between the hitch and frame on the two sides. In one case
the left one was so loose I could move it with my fingers
which made me a little uneasy when discovered. I was wondering if having them welded in fixed position once lined
up wouldn't be better? Also the same thing on the swing arm
plates where they bolt on. If you planned on a long trip, say touring several hundred miles I could see where having
to check for tightness every few miles might be a chore.

I have had customers who have had similar problems and they have used "Lock-Tite" on the problematic bolts. I haven't heard back from any of them since they said they would try that...so I am assuming that "no news is good news".

Prior to using the "Lock-Tite" brand (blue color)product,I experienced similar problems with loose bolts. After using Lock-Tite I've had no loose bolts. In fact, I recently completed a two-week, 4,000 mile ride to Nova Scotia, Canada on my GL 1800 without any problems. I can not over emphasize the importance of using Lock-Tite or a similar product on all Tow-Pac bolts; especially on the lean stop brace bolts. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".
