mileage on tires?

Post by Smrf on Mon Jan 05, 2009 11:30 pm

Was wondering what kind of mileage people were getting with the Tow-Pac provided tires and what brand is good for a replacement?

I have the 8" MiniTrike...and am at 2600 miles currently...so just do researching before I need them.

I have heard on other forums that you can get replacement tires at Wal Mart. I was looking in the tire department there recently and they had some that sure looked to be right. I didn't have the "numbers" with me so I can't say for sure. I know the heavier bikes are only getting about 2500 miles, but your Burgman (?) should do better than that, as it already has. The tires I saw there were in the $40 range INCLUDING the wheel.

Update: Since I wrote this, we have had the tow pac on two road trips. A total of 3200 miles and we still have some good tread on the tow pac's tires. The tow pac is on a Honda VT600/VLX and on both rides I would say she was pushing the load limits for the bike.
