Tony,

First off thank you for these Forums, they are a great help.

My question deals with rear tire issues on my wifes Silverwing Scooter with the 12" wheel kit. I've noticed that the rear tire is wearing unevenly, just the center contact area, a no brainer of course as the bike no longer "leans" but rather stays vertical all the time.

Do you know of anyone with these kits doing it , or see an issue, in using a "dark side" (auto tire) replacement when time comes ...

From time to time I get comments about bolts that shear off or are simply gone. My advice is to check the tightness of the bolts OFTEN. If bolts are loosening on a regular basis you can put 'Lock-Tite' on them.

A loose bolt will allow the kit to move back and forth putting a great deal of stress on the bolts--causing them to shear. Basic maintainence will go a long way.

New Member, Just ordered my Instatrike kit with 12" wheels for my 2008 GL1800 Gold Wing. Any wing owners out there have any suggestions on the install. one of the Instructions say that I just have to loosen Sadle bags and move them to the side, Don`t really understand why, I am hoping that I do not have to remove the bags all the way.

I will use Loc-Tite on all the bolts as suggested by some of the owners.

I purchased the 12' Insta-Trike kit last fall, and have ridden it with some success. One issue I have with the kit

is the way the bolts seem to easily comed loose after only

a few rides. Especailly the frame adjustment brackets between the hitch and frame on the two sides. In one case

the left one was so loose I could move it with my fingers

which made me a little uneasy when discovered. I was wondering if having them welded in fixed position once lined

up wouldn't be better? Also the ...

Little Tony was 9 years old and was staying with his grandmother for a few days.

He'd been playing outside with the other kids for a while when he came into the house and asked her, 'Grandma, what's that called when two people sleep in the same room and one is on top of the other?'

She was a little taken aback, but she decided to tell him the truth. 'It's called sexual intercourse, darling.'

Little Tony said, 'Oh, OK,' and went back outside to play with the other kids...

New 12" Wheels for IT2 Kits

Tow Pac Recently started shipping their kits with updated billet aluminum wheels. This is nice since the original wheels could be a bit of a pain to balance (since they were welded together). This is a stamped one piece wheel so that should be less of an issue.

Also, the fenders are revamped--nice thing is that you do not have to remove the fender (or loosen it for you wise guys) to change the tire.

See the gallery for pics of the new wheel/fender

Saturday morning I got up early - it was still dark - , quietly dressed, made my lunch, and slipped quietly into the garage.

I put my golf clubs in the trunk of the car and proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour.

The wind was blowing 50 mph, so I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather would be bad all day.

Anyway we decided to take the weather report for fact and set out on our little journey. Elaine took the lead on her VLX/Tow Pac with Pam and I taking up the rear on my GoldWing. Soon the fog lifted and we were rewarded with a fine day for riding. Our path took us down English Crossing Road where we had to wait for a herd of axis deer to cross.
Can't wait to get my kit. Got one for 73 year old hubby he has a yahama 1100 v star classic and it worked so great for him I no longer worry when he's out. I'm saving to get one now for my Rebel 250 that they are making them in the smaller size. I have bad knees to and it will help me ride more often.
